Please help a beginner save his 名媛直播 was created by AndrejsJ

Hi guys!

I live in Eastern Europe and bought my first 名媛直播 (Carmona) before transporting it to my apartment tree was full with leaves and looked healthy. But tree started to loose leaves and now there are only few left. I tried doing some crazy things like repotting it, fertilizing and letting sit on the window sill to get some sun (i have a bright apartment so tree did get some sun).

Also tree has some white salt at the trunk and as I have read its from the watter.

Please help me save my tree, and see the pictures how it looks. Thanks!

I have an idea that there could be many factors that let it end like this - environment change, over wattering, shock...

Main question is can the tree recover if I leave it at the window sill for some sunlight, and watter only if it is completely dry when could I expect signs of recovery ? Thanks!

Put it in the brightest spot possible.
Don't move it around anymore.
Water as needed.
Don't fertilize.
Pray.

Thank you Clicio for your reply! I did my last try, repotting my tree in a much better soil where watter shouldn’t be able to hold, some Akadama mix with regular bonsai soil and will leave it at peace hoping for the best, will give an update in few months.

Praying!

Maybe some pro can help me out with few tips, because I read everything except books about my problems with this tree.

So tree is repotted with better soil, window is getting morning sun for about 2-3h, also I set up Grow-light during 6PM-6AM. Tree has only 2 big green leaves what indicates that tree is not dead(yet), i have a pretty warm apartment +20C, any more suggestions what can I do to make it show signs of life?

Why grow light during night when trees rest? You put even more stress to it. If you have chance put it out on fresh air and good sunlight, if winter is over where you are. Have you cut roots on repot and how much? Be gentle with watering as well. This tree is in way bad condition dont feed big hopes, sorry.

Well, this is why I am here, asking these question to know more and get help from experts spacewood.

My tree is now sitting on the south window sill where direct sun is only from 10:00AM-01:00PM, I also changed light from 8AM-8PM (yes, also during day light).

For a month starting from now I will leave it there: no moving, no fertilising, etc., just water on the tray for humidity (I have noticed that water vaporises pretty quickly over day) and watering when soil is getting dry. I did a scratch test, and tree still has a greenish trunk, and 2 green leafs.

Why mixed soil? I'm speaking with a big experience in killing trees in semi-indoor environment (balcony). Do nothing now.
Stop the water. No leaves ... no water or it will rot the roots. Water is used in the photosynthesis process. If it survives, the next year pot it in the best draining soil you can. 100% akadama. You don't have wind indoors to help get rid of the excess water.

Why Akadama for an indoor plant?
