Recently acquired a Florida native long leaf pine. It has one candle at the top of the tree and some lower needles on the trunk and a few buds at the base of the tree. Is this a single or multi flush pine? Second, if I cut the terminal candle, will this begin the ramification profess on this tree and also allow the tree to send resources to the lower buds?
