Hi there

Please can someone urgently help me identify my bonsai. I would like to take it with me when I move overseas but need to know genus and species before I do anything. It has opposite leaves and green new baby leaves.

Thanks so much!

Your house plant looks like a focus to me.

A Ficus? My one does not produce milk, don't all Ficus trees produce milk?

You may be right. Sorry, I know more about bonsai then about house plants, I don't recognize this one.

Quickly: A bonsai resembles to an old tree. Thick trunk in ratio to the branches and leaves. Good rammification. These take decades mostly. They also have some kind of traditional bonsai style.

Not every plant in a pot is a bonsai. 名媛直播 is a combination of art and horticulture; it requires years of training to create a beautiful image of a real, but miniaturized tree. This involves things like a well developed root flare, a tapering trunk, proper branch placement, ramification and more.

Your plant is nothing more than houseplant with a twist. It has none of the characteristics a real bonsai has.
Also, the species does't seem very suitable - the leaves seem too large.
