Hello everyone,
My ficus bonsai has lost all of its leaves. It was sitting in a windowsill, where it got lots of sun, but I foolishly left it there when the temperatures here dropped very low, below freezing. The leaves gradually started to fall off, until there were none left. I could really use your wisdom in keeping the little tree alive, if its possible. I have attached a photo.
I now have the tree in a room where it receives sunlight from the east, and is not subject to freezing temperatures.
Please let me know what you think. I appreciate any and all help.

If it was subjected to temperatures below 0C then it is probably dead.

And I thought it was impossible to kill a Ficus!
Your experience proves me wrong .

As per your tagline, I just wanted to double check with you...the tree is hopelessly lost? I just dont want to pitch it if there is any chance of saving it.
Thank you!

Ficuses are tropical trees; they are not supposed to be in temperatures below +10C.
Below freezing it is almost a death sentence for them.
BUT...
I've seen a Ficus suddenly sprout back after months defoliated and sulking. Looking dead.
But the chances are minimal...
