Hi,
two weeks ago I noticed a white coating on top of my soil. Looks like mold/fungi, but not sure about it... Does anybody had a similar thing or knows what it is or could it affect plant‘s health? I appeared in similar time on few plants (indoors) There is two factors that I consider:
1. It appeared roughly a week or two after I started using new fertiliser with trace elements
2. I live in area where the water is hard, and can leave a calc build up.
The second option is less likely because not all plants have the same issue.

I keeps my plants indoors, I always check soil moisture before i water - this is a rubber ficus plant. Not a bonsai, but I was afraid for my bonsais...
If it is a calc build up, than it should have appeared gradually, not suddenly during 1 week period, right?
