Hello all,
I have two small bonsais that I very much love! But, I do not know what fertiliser to use...
I would like an organic fertiliser, preferably in large pellet form so that I can insert it into the soil without affecting moss growth.
Can anyone make a recommendation?
Thanks in advance for the help!

The advice I got from one of the most experienced people in the local bonsai club here was that it is preferable not to put the fertilizer directly into the soil. Instead, he recommended getting the tea bags that people use when they buy tea in bulk (they're just little filter bags that don't have tea in them and you fill them up yourself). Fill the tea bags with your fertilizer and place the tea bags on top of the soil. Water the tea bag whenever you water the rest of the plant. The fertilizer will leach out over time and feed the plant. The advantages are that you'll know when the fertilizer has been completely consumed, the fertilizer is dosed continuously, and you can easily remove the fertilizer whenever it is appropriate to. Keep the bags on when the plant is actively producing new growth and remove them when it's not.
The specific N-P-K ratio can vary depending on species, season, etc. but a balanced fertilizer (about the same number for all three components) is a reasonable choice to start with.

I use Biogold inside tea bags.
Works for me.
