So over the summer I recently bought a indoor jaboticaba bonsai at a little bonsai shop. It did welll for the first few months and I trimmed it down a bit. Recently, almost all the leaves have withered and fallen off and there is only one left. No new shoots are developing and the single leaf looks ready to fall off. When the leaves started to fall I bought a UV light with good reviews but it has not seemed to improve anything. I have been using a liquid house plant fertilizer and have been watering regularly. Any suggestions or reasons it may be dying?

What country are you in? How are you watering? Does the water drain fast? Where are you keeping this plant? Does it get a lot of light? This species is not the best for training as bonsai, and if you search for it you will see that it gets big needs LIGHT as in sunlight. Therefore outside is the only place for it where it will get the light it needs. It is dying because you have not given it the correct conditions for the species. I doubt that a UV light will help now, as it is probably too late.

Nicee. I have wanted this species for a while now, but cannot find it in europe.
It is a tropical plant, that needs lots of light, moisture and does not like saline soil. Could it be that you have been giving toonmuch fertiliser and/or have let it dry out?
Plant do drop leaves if they are afraid they will die. They do not just drop their leaves because it is slightly dark. Personally i would look at the care given. Please give some.more info and parhaps pictures of the soild and branches.
