Hey boys and girls i am new to the forum and very new to owning a bonsai tree. I have recently been brought a bonsai beginning of september and have been watering it and giving it bonsai food once a week like the instructions say and all seemd great until this morning when i noticed the tree has got very sticky leaves and also ehat looks like green fly. Could I possibly get some advise on a few things like what is my tree? As the lable had no name on it. How to treat green fly on a bonsai if thats what they are? And is the sticky leaves related to the infestation? Please see pictures attached. Any advise would be mutchly appreciated

You need an insecticide to spray and do it every 10 days for a month or so, yes the sticky leaves are from the greenfly

If you don't find a product against greenfly in your garden center, try looking for something against aphids (which is the same, just a different name)

It is important to know that you ask this before you buy a 'tree'. You need to know what care and what climate it needs.
It's a carmona.

You can also try spraying the tree once a week, no more and no less, with Neem Oil. I hope it'll do the trick
