Hello guys, I'm fairly new to the bonsai world and I've 4 trees.. A Carmona (which is doing well and growing just fine) A juniper (same as the carmona) an Acer Rubrum (which is 1 year old) and a Japanese red maple (said to be purple ghost but I've yet to see it) but here's the deal.. The maples seem to be dying.. Or perhaps going through high stress since they've both lost almost all leaves. Please help me find out what is going on.. I fertilize them every 2 weeks and water them generously every 2 nights. They both get partial sun and shade. I been having these 2 for about a week so they have no appropriate pots yet.. Could that also be it?

Take the wire off it is doing more harm than good. The Acers and Jumiper if they are not MUST be OUTSIDE the Carmona is not hardy. The best place for the Maple and Juniper is planted in the ground for 5 years or more. The Maples are not necessarily dying, they are deciduoua and lose leaves in winter.

Makes sense.. And the maples and juniper are outside, living in an apartment leaves me with not many choices as far as planting on the ground goes. Also, Im well aware it is fall but it just seemed to be a little early for them to be falling. Wires came off last night. Thanks.

I'm aware of it.. Just seemed a little early for it to be happening since trees around my area don't start losing foliage until late October/mid November.

Perhaps it is, though none of the trees in the neighbourhood seem to be losing leaves. I looked it up and said it arrived Sept. 22nd.
