Juniper in need of some help

Got a juniper from walmmart today looks in kinda bad shape.....took the glued moss and rocks out and put in more of the needed soil...watered it and am lettimg sun hit it...is there anything else i can do to help it look a bit healthier than it is now....some of the pines are brown and could use some attention and id like to do anything amd everything i can to strengthen it

Put it outside on my steps and its getting great sun looking alot better even for having it 24 hours.....with it being out there how ofter should i water it and how heavily....i dont wanna overwater to where i kill it....i know some have said you can underwater but never over water is that true? Also if any other advice is available to continue my jupiters growth please let me know...all the advice has been a huge help and is very appreciated....id like to get to where i can help others in hopefully the not too distant future with the same questions im faced with currently....

This is true if you have well-draining soil and a drainage hole in the pot. If it gets colder though, water will evaporate less and you should water less. Check the soil to see if the tree needs water.
