Ligustrum dying ?

I bought a 3 years old Ligustrum 名媛直播 that was healthy until 1-2 weeks ago when its appearance started to change very rapidly, he looked wonderfully and had nice and straight leaves, now they're all gone.
I live in Bucharest and summer here often gets extreme, scorching hot even for a couple days straight so it was hard for me to find a suitable place for him as it's not recommended to keep him in direct sunlight the whole day and inside the house wouldn't be suitable either because of the abrupt temperature change ( air conditioner ) so I kept him in my balcony in partial shade and he really seemed to like it, I also changed the soil to a more premium one and continued with the once every 2 weeks fertilization.
Around 2 weeks ago, after a heatwave(104-105F), I noticed that all leaves were without energy and liveliness and soon after they all started to shrink and eventually dry and fall off, as of today, he no longer has leaves ( I keep watering him adequately and checking his humidity daily )
What is to be done in this case ? Temperatures here have gone into normal but hes basically lost all leaves and looks like hes gonna die pretty soon, ive no idea what ive done wrong.

Please show some pictures.
It sound like it dried out for some reason. Liguster as a species can easily take full sun, assuming well-watered.
When did you repot?

I repotted him a few days before the heatwave, I have no pictures atm but will post some when i get home from work, I need to point out that his leaves never turned yellow, they just dried out, branches are still green ( some ). When I had him in full sun 1-2 months ago he looked pretty bad during the day but regenerated when the sun set down and the process repeated the next day until i moved him to partial sun where he is now.
I attached a picture from 1 week ago when I moved him to full shade area to see how he performs ( he was on top of a wardrobe because the cat usually seems interested in him and thats the only spot where she cant reach him )
As of this morning, he no longer has leaves, theyve all dried and dropped

Well, as already said, it looks pretty dead to me...rBose wrote: When should I have repotted him ?
Sorry for your tree.
Repotting should be ideally done in the very beginning of the Spring.
