Hi All,
I would need an expert advice whether this nursery stock Ficus could be wired or trimmed to turn into a bonsai in the future. If so, please guide me on which branch to trim or wire as all the branches are thin and long with only foliage at the end of the branches. Apologies for this basic question as I am an amateur with lots of passion on bonsai.

Some wil disagree but the main trunk got some taper in it so i would take all the brunches of except the one on the far right then let it grow for a year and and see what you've got next year

Thanks for your encouraging words. So you want me to cut off all the branches completely till the main trunk or cut the branches halfway except the one on the far right.

At the end of the day the best to do is what you wana do but if you want you can cut all but the one to far right. Cut all like 5cm from main stump then make the one far right the new leader.then you can put it in the ground or in a nursery pot and let it grow after a year prune al again and the far right one prune it 10cm back but its al one you the best is what you want the tree to look like in 10years time

Best thing to do is not to take advice from people who only recently started with bonsai theirselves.
I'd properly pot this plant, let it grow, get it strong and healthy first before doing anything else.

"I'd properly pot this plant, let it grow, get it strong and healthy first before doing anything else."
I would recommend following this option.
I see no reason to start chopping off branches at this stage of its development.
