Hello,

I have a Japanese Procumbrens nana that is pretty healthy, but I am noticing on some of the branches that the needles are getting brittle and the tips are getting a bit brown. I am attaching a picture of where I keep it. It is on a screened in porch (the one in question is on the second shelf on the right). Behind the stand is Western to South Western Sun. On the left it gets morning Eastern Sun and some Southern Sun. I am also including pictures of the branches close up. If you zoom in on the second picturecan see the brown tips. I am wondering if this is due to not enough light or maybe over watering. I have it in 1:1:1 Aki, Pumis, Lava. No organic. I feed with bonsai fertilizer every 2 weeks and I also have some organic granules once a month. If you think it is die back, then I will have to move my junipers outside. I have another rack on just outside of the first picture that has my Ficus and Texas Ebony, that get good morning and early afternoon sun, but are shaded on the porch which I think are good for these species, not so sure about the junipers.

Obviously the Junipers should be outside, in the sun. It needs pruning also.
