My European Beech has suddenly got so few and small leafs this summer. I'm afraid that it is dying. Two weeks ago the leafs started to get brown spots and edges. One branch has lost all leaves. I see no pests. The second photo is taken last autumn.

When did you last repot?
I would probably take this out of the pot, not do ANYTHING to the roots, and just slide it in full grond for a season or two to get strength. Or overpot it. I am assuming it is a rootball issue.

Judging by the pictures, soil looks not the same from Autumn to Summer.leatherback wrote: When did you last repot?

Thank you Clicio and leatherback for your quick answers.
The look of the soil is just because of the picture.
I repottet two and a half years ago.
I will follow your advice, but I have to be sure what you exactly mean by "full grond". Maybe you mean full ground. In any case, is it a bigger training pot? And what does "overpot" mean?
Excuse my English, I am Danish.
