Can I save my tree?

I received a small juniper bonsai tree as a gift in February of this year. Lately, the tree's leaves have become pale/yellow and are slowly falling off. I searched around a bit and found it is probably because this tree needs to be kept outdoors. This would make sense as it has just been located in my windowsill for a few months. My current apartment is "hotel style" and has no outdoor space, but I am moving in less than a week and can hopefully move it outside.
My question for you guys is - does my tree have a shot at making it if I move it outside next week? Pictures below.
Thanks in advance.

It's not only dead, it has been dead for weeks. Also, it is not a bonsai, it's just a young juniper.
