Hi all, I've got a few trees but my chinese elm is looking worse for wear. I've attached a photo. Having read on here I've tested for green and there isn't any at the top as you can see where I've taken a branch off it's dead underneath. There is one branch going strong. Do I cut it right down to start a very long regrowth process or what's best to Do? Thanks in advance

For now, focus on getting the plant healthy again. You can always trims stuff off. I have the preference for leaving it for a season. You never know where life is still hiding.
Do think about the why though. Why is the tree dying off.

What does the person who re potted it for you say? You need to look at how you are keeping it, watering fertiliser position in garden etc as something serious must have happened for the tree to die back like that. Chinese Elms are as tough as old boots, and will withstand a lot of abuse.

He said to drop it back to him to have a look at it's just getting time to get it to him as he's only there a few hours and due to work I struggle to get there those times. Didn't know if there was something I could do
