Hey everyone, found this little guy among bushes in the back yard a few months ago, and dropped it in a small nursery pot to see if it would live, and later train. It has been growing vigorously, which is great. Back in May I had trouble identifying it, using many online guides... I know it's a maple, just cannot pinpoint the sub. I live in south New Jersey, zone 7b. Can someone go crazy with me please?
If it really does not matter the specific and I can just work off the typical maple care instructions, then please tell me. :)
I attached a couple of pics of the whole thing, and a close-up of the largest leaf from the end of May.
Here are some items that may help:
- Tree is only a year or two old (so it may be too young, perhaps, to identify properly)
- Trunk is a dark gray
- Leaves are same green top and bottom (no silver on bottom)
- Stems are green
- Leaves all have 5 lobes
- No deep cuts between lobes

Thanks!!

I'm so scared to say smth stupid, but I'll take a risk  Could this maple be a variety of a common fig?
