Hello everyone,
I was just hoping someone can give me a little advice about my tree.
I have purchased from a botanical garden in London, a chinese elm, in February and so far it has been very healthy.
I am growing the plant inside, on a window shell, facing South. I have taken great care and I have watered it when needed (checking the soil on a daily basis). I am using Biogold organic fertiliser every time i am watering.
The water that I am using is boiled first and left to cool before putting it in a spray bottle, which I then use to make sure that it gets watered properly.
Two weeks ago I was on holiday and the tree did not get watered for 4-5 days. When I came back it was very dry and the leaves were bent, I am assuming the weather was very hot and it dried them out. Since then, my tree is acting very strange. The leaves are getting hard, turning yellow and the start falling. Some of them even have few black spots.
Although it does not seem to be very healthy, the tree has substantial growth as well.
I am attaching few pictures for you guys.
Can you please let me know if something is wrong with my elm?
Thank you,
Mihai

Five days, no water.
It's reacting accordingly! It will lose leaves, but if you water it when needed perhaps it will not die.
