This year I've started a few passion flowers this year. Has anyone tried potting one as a bonsai? The problem I'm having is the roots, the seeds germinated this spring by the beginning of May the roots were quite a tangle in the seed tray so I put them into standard 4 inch pots. This morning I noticed about 2 inches of root hanging out of the drain holes. Do they need such a mass of roots or can I safely give them a trim.
