I'm curious myself. Mycorrhiza is important to bonsai, and when I collect material, I try to keep as much as I can & incorporate into the soil. I haven't tried the bottled cultures from the store, but I purchased some this past fall & will be trying it out on a few plants this spring. I'll let you know what I found out after a year.
