I can't really see the first picture clearly but the tree in the second picture looks like a nice bonsai.

it was defoliated in June, and has come back nicely, ill post a picture of when it gets its winter colors

Mossy moss, also the tree needs a lot of work, the ramification is quite lacking, and needs to be improved in the next 10 years, the branches need to be pruned hard during the winter, so I can reset the structure in spring. Tridents are super easy to get ramification, because they grow like weeds.

I have yet to do a trunk chop, mainly because I don't have many tridents, but they sure are beautiful trees- I just like pines more :P
