New Ficus

Just found this ficus in a nursery and picked it up... $25 US. I think this one may have some potential. Going to repot it and let it sit over winter and see how it goes. One question...there was not much soil in the pot and the roots were exposed...when I repot it should I cover the roots up?

I would. You will stimulate new roots closer to the surface which in turn will help you with the nebari when it comes to that point.
I would cut it back drastically, effectively only leaving stumps along the trunk, and rebuild from there.. But maybe wait with that untill spring

Cleaned up and repotted in 15 gallon pot.
