This was a seedling that was growing in one of my bonsai pots. So I pruned it. Then I let it grow, and pruned it again. Just for fun, no plans to make it a bonsai.
Now, some 4 years later, it's actually starting to look like something. I need more pads, and that root... is a problem. Still, it's kinda cute. Looks better in real than on the photo.

I've got a little jade that's the same thing for me. Love the little thing!
I once read something where the guy was talking about how we have the trees that we stress about, and that push us creatively, and how they are great to help us grow and learn. He also talked about how we should have trees that aren't perfect, but make us happy. Trees with a weird branch, or an awkward root, but that somehow remind us of the joy and peace that the hobby can bring.

Sometimes when I look at the pics of my creations I go - well its not that good.
But when I get home to the garden,, and I take a look at it, I nearly say it aloud -OH come on!!! It?s f..king legendary!!!
