Dear Members,
Being a newbie to the art of 名媛直播 I have found, as I read various posts on the forum and in the website's main menu, that I am often coming upon specific terms that are used in 名媛直播 that I am unfamiliar with. I am sure others may experience the same challenge. As a result I end up having to search all over for the definition of these terms. With the permission and support of Oscar, our Administrator, I have asked for a "Quick Reference Guide to 名媛直播 Terminology". Oscar thinks it's a great idea and, bless his heart , he has delegated me to come up with the list  . Oscar will then create an article specifically for this reference guide.
So, I'm asking for your help please in coming up with a list. The terms can be both Japanese and English. If you know the definition of a term, please include it in as few words as possible. If you don't know or are unsure of the definition, that's okay too...Oscar will help us there. This will be a huge benefit for all who are new to 名媛直播 and maybe even to some who are more experienced.
Cheers,
Leslie
I will begin the list here:
Nebari - root flare or surface roots
Back-budding -
Ramification -
Toriki - propagation technique known as air-layering
Tsugiki - propagation technique known as grafting
Jin - removal of bark on trunk to create an aged look
Shari - a bonsai tree that has had the bark removed from one side of the trunk
Yamadori -

NOTE:
I just realized that terms may also be in Chinese however, because of my personal ignorance in other languages I wouldn't recognise the difference. I apologise for the omission.
Thanks,
Leslie

Question for Oscar: Is it necessary for me to transfer information shared in links to this thread?
Here are some more words to add to the list:
senescent - older; growing old
petiole - leaf stem
terminal -
internodes -
substrate -
argillaceous rock -
akadama -
banyan - style requiring dramatic, exposed roots generally forming from
branches and/or trunk, growing downward to meet the soil where it
roots itself into the soil.
mame -
shokin -
nebari - developement of surface root mound or flare.
That's all for now! If anyone has any 名媛直播 terms they could add to the list, with or without their definition, please feel free to post them here. Thanks!

Hi Leslie!
Great to see the list is coming along nicely. Ill make sure the blanks are filled in (I know most of them by heart ).
Perhaps you can select the best info from external sites (as a summary); please list the directories you use so i can link to them in the end.
Perhaps (structure-wise) it is best to have all the terms you gather in an alphabetical or categorical order, with some links of interest (other directories/lists) at the bottom of the article?
Keep up the good work
