As for your question on the optimal tempature.. Optimal temperature: Depends on species, light availability & growing stage of the plant. A picea in dormancy is very different from a ficus in growth.
I'd say: Don't worry about it. Look at your plant, and it's health. That is a much better indicator than whichever measurement you are taking.

No. They just register an account and post under that account. It was not Leatherback's post, it was a post before that one.
This has been deleted by the moderator.
Probably the post was placed by a bot (a program, that scans forums and automatically posts in what seem related topics)

The bots you refer to are called (not so suprisingly) spambots according to wikipedia. There must be a way to block spambots from detecting this website as a forum (i hope).

Not sure if it's a bot, it could be a chinese kid that gets a few cents for posting things like this.
There is a protection for the forum - you need to register first.
