in the field it was cut back drastically several times with shohin starter in mind..
i know Danny Use won't lie about that.. (but you never know..)
he showed me a larch shohin of 20 years old, even smaller.. but that was completely pot cultivated..

After spending some 3 years working on bought seedlings, I got some seeds last winter. Now I have some 50 seedlings, 1 year old, in a growing bed. Guess I will have to pay a bit more attention to them then I have been, and get some financial influx in a few years. :woohoo:

Reminds me of someone who offered 350 of 'm, a few years old and some basic shaping, for E7,50 each. Still sorry I didn't go there to buy a couple.
