:cheer: just wanted to share something I found while checking over my azalea, this double leaf growing just as happy as can be. this tree is a scavenged dig up from a larger small leaf azalea. notice the two veins instead of the usual single in the leaf or leaves not sure which to call it.

cool... mutations happen a lot and sometimes can be grown into new species of plants. a master bonsai artist in my neighborhood (Bill Valavanis) has propogated a mutation and the new sub species was named after him. if it continues to mutate on this branch it can be airlayered and grown as a double leaf azalea with your name on it :P

After a failure of a root over rock attempt dont know if you remember that Conifer or cedar that got a orange fungus it lost the battle. Anyway I would love a different challenge, air layer would be after this branch diameter is a bit larger I assume?

MM I wonder if it will revert to normal once it has been pruned? I have seen this before, but not often.

I am really hoping that it will stay on that branch and I will be able to air layer it like manofthetrees suggested. so I will postpone any pruning on that branch. Assuming that there will be other leaves like that.

Depending in what country you are in you may not be able to air layer until next year as certainly in UK it is almost too late this year.
