that is a tough one i am going more towards black pine. judgeing on the size the tree is probubly pushing 300 years in age and i have never seen a white pine that large in a pot.i am not positive but i do not think white pine have been cultivated as bonsai for that long... awesome tree either way

Judging the age of a tree based on it's size is tricky. This one may very well be under 50; Check the big cutmarks, also inside the canopy.

I found it in. could not make out much from it since online translations are terrible (its in Indonesian) and all I could make out was that its a pine... and i think he named it shrimp?
but Ideally My Dream is to have a 名媛直播 that resembles this one.

the trunk is as big around as the man in front of it (unless this is photoshopped) most likely a mountain yamadori
think he named it shrimp?
ha maybe this is his smallest one :pinch:

I'm thinking this is not a pine. It is in Indonesia and they don't have much as far as pine bonsai go. My guess would be Causarina or baeckea frutescens. These two are more common in the tropics, but look very similar to pines. Also keep in mind that trees grow much faster in tropical climates so age is difficult to determine.

Originally what i thought trying to understand the translation of the text was that it is a pine called shrimp but trying to do some searches, I have come to the conclusion that its actually what that kind of pine is called for them.
It is a pine but I have yet to discover the species. Its "cemara udang" which literal translation is Fir Shrimp which I am guessing just what they call that specific kind of fir. I will try to look more into this later and see what i come up with.
