11 trees for free and a new bach every spring this is great. they have to be wired to get them to stand but once the trunks harden it'll be golden

some are good some not so ... we had a spell of heavy rain so they were wet for a week then the 90+ temps came i think it may have drowned some and cooked others but ill see i gave them their first shot of fert last week so maybe they just needed some food

Next time, maybe consider planting the young ones in a pot underneath the old tree, and olny cut them off once the pot is full with roots. Woud make it easier on them...

when they are attached the root itself wont get much larger i cut them too soon they would be half way across my front lawn if i ddint .i was throwing them away anyway as i have for years. next time i will give them more shelter or just put them staight in the ground plus i kinda neglected them a little cuz i was occupied elsewhere . i looked at them today and 2 are goners some are still green at the base and a few are still healthy.
