Sad news in the classic kids book world today. I loved "where the wild things are".

I have about 50 or so at my place (most are still training), I leave the others (around 30 or so) some more established than others at my folks place and I also have a few (10 or so) things to work on at a friends house when I'm there.
I go to the local nursery often, looking for future bonsai. When I dont have any pots to work on I go into the garden and trim a privet tree that I stumped a couple of years ago
There are a few things that I have ended up just planting in the garden cos they weren't going to make good bonsai (thou I am tempted to lift some just to see how much quicker they have developed in the ground.

I should really go out and take some more photos to share with everyone here, I have a small Azalea thats flowering at the moment.

yeah me too...i gave it to my oldest daughter last year for her birthday so its hers to pass on now

i've just started, got intrasted through a friends dad he had 30 plus some good examples! ive been collecting 2 years so still a novice.

i'm constantly starting new trees and find myself looking all the time for trees, seeds, pots and love working on my current collection.

i think i need more advice have 3 books.

Does growing in large pots or the ground help development?
