Tropical Evergreens native to the USA that are suitable for 名媛直播 was created by mvximlvn

Hey community, I am looking to expand my exotic bonsai collection. I am living in Germany, which means all my trees come inside during the winter in a heated room under growing light. So far, most of my collection is focused on African trees. I am searching for tropical evergreen trees that are truly native to the USA and are suitable for growing as a bonsai (small leaves, long lifespan etc.) Since I have never been to the USA, or Florida for that matter, I have no idea what is growing over there. Research only suggested the conocarpus erectus (buttonwood), but I am certain there is more. Thanks for any help!

I am not sure why you want to grow tropical trees indoors when you live in an area perfect for all the traditional japanese temperate species. But that may be another question.
I have a texas sage tree. It is very tolerant to draught, small leafs and wonderful purple flowers. That may be an option for you?

Very little of the US is tropical so most trees here are not tropical. One obvious exception is citrus of many varieties. I have a key lime tree that may turn out nice. You can sprout seeds pretty easily.?
There are a few trees I have thought of from time to time that I saw in California once. Manzinita looks like there is potential. I have a willow leaf ficus.? Is that American? Expanding the definition of American, one of my favorites is my jaboticaba. There are probably more in Brazil that would make good choices.
I have sworn off more tropicals. They take up a lot of space indoors and drop leaves all over making a huge mess. When I took them outside three weeks ago it took me three hours to clean up where they had been. Now temps at night have dropped down again and they had to come back in.

Thank you so much for the reply and your input, the Texas sage does look very interesting indeed!?
My reasons for growing them indoors (in winter) is simply that I am a huge fan of more exotic plants, the challenge of growing them and also having something to look after and do in winter. I also do have a few temperate trees that are native to Germany, but as soon as autumn is over it is next to nothing to do for the following 6 months.?

Hey mate, thanks for your input. I shall definitely check some of these species out. Definitely know the struggle with the cleaning. I mostly grow Portulacaria Afras, Ficus & Acacia. As soon as day temperatures here are high enough I try to bring them outside, adjust them to the sunlight. Unfortunately, it is a constant game of bringing them in at night again until it is May-June.
