Weather here has been consistent for Alabama. Back in December it dropped way below freezing for a week, two weeks ago we had below freezing a couple of days, and then grass started turning green everywhere. Weather has been cold, unpleasant rain, temperatures high of 55F/12C to lows of 38F/3C.
This morning, Feb 2, I noticed most of my elms are starting to leaf out. I guess spring came a little early, since usually that is end of February, even early March. Time to repot.
The record for them is January 6, but that was unusual.
