hey guys! I purchased Japanese white pine pine seeds online. I have read about the 90 day refrigerate germination process and also that it doesn't take that long to germinate. How long does it take before I know when to shape and prune?

That takes for Most trees in Good care around 5-10 years. For White pines on its own roots longer.

Depending on the size of the bonsai, It can take between 3 and 10 years from seed to start pruning. Another 5 years at least are needed before you can call it a bonsai. I suggest starting with nursery stock to practice before the seedlings are ready to use.
