Auk, the japanese kanji, they are upside down!
It means "Red Cloud", the Azalea cultivar you have.
Look:
紅雲 - 紅 Red 雲 Cloud.
こううん(kouun) in hiragana
:-) Congrats!

No, I don't.
I've been 5 times to Japan, I have studied hiragana and katakana, i can order food, drinks, find my way in taxis and order Akadama...
But Kanji is another world.
That's all the reach of my Japanese, unfortunately.
:-(

You are right, I did not see it on my phone when I posted it (well... actually, I would have guessed but not be sure).

Thanks! Very nice to know..

So... Red cloud. Akai kumo? Used Google translate for that.
Can you read it or could your OCR program?

Nope, I can't read Kanji, only hiragana and katakana.
What I did was send your image to a Japanese friend in Nagoya and he translated for me. As he grows bonsai, he immediately told me it was a variation of a Satsuki Azalea, much appreciated in Japan.
