the display stands currently stand at 3'-6" from the floor to top of stand. i am not aware of or if there are any guidelines on stand height for bonsai display, maybe others can chime in if there is. But i kept them at 3'-6" as it seemed to put the trees at a nice eye level plus i didn't want my trees to stick up over the fence and risk the neighbors snagging the trees with anything.

First picture, right most pot. Is that dark and light wood, or is it ceramic?

thanks, its actually wood that has just been weathered from rain, sun and watering.

alright update on my garden. (semi long post)
i always see everyone asking about how do people water their trees when they are on vacation. ive never had this problem as when we are gone the inlaws are always kind enough to feed the pups and water my trees for me. well this next week is a different story i actually dont have someone to water as we will all be gone. people always talk about how the plug and play timers that hook up to your hose end always seem to fail and sometimes come home to dry trees. well after thinking about it i come to realize i have never had my sprinkler valves and timers fail since i installed them 3yrs ago, they have been very reliable in watering the lawn and been keeping the grass green. so i figured if i can convert my irrigation system to a timed drip line i dont see why i should have problems. i bought everything i need including a pressure reducer to 25psi, 1/2" hose, 1/4" hose and drippers. i temperately hooked it up straight to my hose bib and been testing everything for the last month before i leave for vacation, so far have not had any issues at all and everything has been working great. i also upgraded my programmer to a wifi/ bluetooth timer so i can Manually water anything from my phone app anytime anywhere. PLEASE NOTE i do not plan at all using this as a permanent watering source i enjoy watering my trees myself every morning, this will only be used for example if the inlaws are not able to help when on vacation or like now when its 105*F/ 40.5*C and i wont be home for the second watering i can just water from the phone app. here are photos of my temporary valve install (will get permanently installed into the irrigation box in 2 weeks) along with hose routing and dripper install. the goal was to install everything and hide the hoses as much as possible.

a few dripper set ups. some pots have one or 2 drippers depending on the pot/ tree size and some drippers put out more water than other. i have either 1GPH (gallon per hour) or a 2GPH dripper again depending on pot/ tree size.

I have a problem with the area where my trees are. I pour water on them every day, every week I pour fertilizer on them, much of which falls down below them, and the weeds go to town.

How do you keep the weeds down under the stands?

It looks like large gravel. There may not be much sun, but my weeds turn into a tangled mess pretty easily.
