So.. A few years ago I took a scots pine with me from the Trophy in Belgium. The tree originates from Poland. However, I never really saw much in it. As such, in winter I decided to sell it. After selling it however, the buyer never paid, nor collected the tree. So one club evening I decided to take the tree with me, and put a bit of work in it. Being made fun off when I brought it in was just part of the fun. IN any case, thought I would share it.

In 2016:

Two years later, 2018. You can see I was not inspired :)

As it sits on my bench now. Not sure about the front yet. But maybe it does deserve a better pot..

That?s a really good start, I must say!
And I must also say: when I saw the first picture of the tree I had a similar idea:)

Did you buy the tree from the guy who calls himself Jack Rust (because his Polish Name is too complicated for most people)?
He always brings nice trees to the Trophy ...

Yeah it is from them. It was substantially taller. I just trimmed it down a lot initially as the tree was too tall for the trunkthickness.

I don?t get those bottom branches, but seems to be a common way of styling around here too.
I would go for this if the health of the tree allowed me to cut so much more:

Those bottom branches don?t go with the idea of the rugged tree up in the hills well in my opinion :)

I agree, but I might jinn the bottom branches rather than remove them altogether
