Posted 5 years 8 months ago #49131That is what I am doing today, right now. This is "beforehand" and what is available today is what I must choose so it would be nice if I choose what is best. don't you think so?.Auk wrote: If you're doing bonsai, you have the suitable materials available beforehand.

Really odd. But appearently you want to hear that metals are hurting your trees.
So here goed. Never use any metal except for surgical grade titanium.
Does that make you feel better?
On the other hand, you could also just use what you have, as it does not matter!

Is there a good reason why you are taking it so personally? All I wanted (expected) was an honest answer to my question. Either "as far as I know" or "the properties of some or all are considered safe" or "I have heard that X is not safe but it is not true" or "I don't really know for sure".
I heard that copper is dangerous and I wondered if it is true and if there are other metals (screws) that are thought to be unsafe for trees. Fluffing me off with a 'do what you want' attitude is hardly what I would expect from a forum dedicated to a specific interest. But hey, I guess life ain't perfect and not everyone is willing to share advice & good will.

I do not understand why you are unwilling to accept that it does not matter what you use?
You say "unwilling to help". I think if you look at the forum you might realize I try to help pretty much everyone that posts here where I can. I say "unwilling to accept that it does not matter what you use"
I will stop responding to this thread now.
