It's a week old to me now. Seems like it's doing fine. I gave it kind of a loose, general styling to let it grow out some. I kind of like it as is, anyway. I'm going to jin the top branch where it's already broken off but probably not for a while as I'm just focused right now on not killing it.

I'm in zone 9, south Texas swamp, and I bought it at the Home Depot. I did go to a local nursery that sold bonsai trees but they didn't know what akadama was and some of their trees looked sick so... ?\_(ツ)_/?
