Large Deciduous Yamadori

Collected a large pinyon and Turban Oak (Quercus turbinella) yesterday. The turban oak is endemic to Utah and is a deciduous evergreen. The root systems of these trees can live for thousands of years, sprouting clusters of the tree in sandy soils. This specimen had no other clusters around it, however, sports a very large nebari.

It has a very large root. Nebari is something else.
Nice bark on this tree. Nice small leaves too. Interesting.

Yes, no such thing, it is an evergreen. Thanks for the tip on nebari.

Oaks can be iffy with rootwork. Do you know how this one responds to it?

Do you know how this one responds to it?
I don't think it's a tree used a lot anywhere actually, this specimen was collected from a mountain top in juniper habitat. I actually have no idea how the roots will respond, fingers crossed.

Yes, it's a pinyon pine, I'll post some additional photos of it.
