Clicio, when you said you used teabags, do you mean like ordinary teabags that has been empty’ed and filled with biogold? I have been using baskets that you press on to biogold so that the bottom is in contact with the soil. But i have wanted to try tea bags on my podocar, can i use ordinary emptied tea bags? 
Or do i need some bought from a bonsai shop?

I use teabags too.
You don't need to empty them: just buy empty teabags
