I feel that Dutch point of view a bit elitist, but Netherlands IS the plant power of Europe. It could be something like Vietnamese bushmeat in a Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris.

Nah, there are just some who think that just because they are sold as mass articles, you cannot make decent tree out of it. I call it a lack of fantasy.Felidae wrote: I feel that Dutch point of view a bit elitist, but Netherlands IS the plant power of Europe. Will we prove them wrong? Maybe that’ll be a lesson for them, or for us.

Then there are people who think it is harder to make somthing out of it and that it isnt't exactly cheap. I call that common sense.

I already challenged myself with an S-shaped ficus some time ago, ending up with a penjing with 3 trees and lots of plants from cuttings, all well documented on this forum.
I thought I will join this one too, but with my current situation I will rather spend those 18 euros on tiles or other material so I can finish the things I started

I also know that I would plant it in the garden to build the trunk first and those 3 years wouldn?t be enough to present everyone with a decent result.
So, best of luck to everyone - I am watching you! And am looking forward to your results!
Have fun!
