It's that time again that people, that don't know what they are buying from shops that do not know what they are selling to people that do not know how to take care for it.

Let me correct that:
It's that time again that people, that don't know what they are buying from shops that do not know what they are selling, buy bonsai as a gift for people that do not know how to take care for it.

First week after Christmas:
- I have received this beautiful bonsai (picture of a mallsai or young plant attached). Can you tell me what it is? I am new to bonsai and don't know how to take care of it

Second week after Christmas:
- I have received this beautiful bonsai as a Christmas present but the leaves are turning yellow. Am I overwatering? I am new to bonsai and do not know how to take care of it

Third week after Christmas:
- I have received this beautiful bonsai as a Christmas present but allmost all leaves have dropped... I am new to bonsai and...

Fourth week after Christmas:"
- I have received this bonsai as a Christmas present. It was very beautiful but all leaves have dropped... I am new to bonsai. How do I revive it?

i knew exactly what you were talking about....and now I understand why some of the veteran members make some of the comments they do. It drives me nuts and I'm a novice...in fact I have only 18 trees and only 1 in a bonsai pot and I still wouldn't call it bonsai. I have several pre-bonsai and some trees in nursery pots. It only takes a few seconds to google bonsai and see what it really is.

That is really not so much different from me. The only difference is that I have more trees. I too don't dare to call most of them bonsai - or even pre-bonsai.
