Well I thought the pruning of the unhealthy leaves was necessary the question about it being advisable was refered to leaving the sap drawer Because maybe a tree so young would need all its energy but reading the post on a website made me think that if I left it the tree would have grown with short internodes , am I right to think this ?

The sap drawer you would leave on a branch that you are developing. The sap drawer would be at the end of a branch that is ramified and it would prevent the side branches you are developing and trying to get more ramification to get long internodes, as the sap drawer would be taking up the energy that would else go to these branches.

Your tree is not in that stage yet. Leaving a sap drawer at that position is probably not very useful.

Ok thats much more detailed than the website I read and I understood the concept much better, so since its not very useful should I cut the whole branch off or just the top bit with the leaves or should I just let it grow as a branch ?. As for the branches I pruned back that was fruit of my impatience although I only cut a few very small ones and pruned them back one or two nodes I hope thats not to bad .

I think you can shorten it. Do not cut any of the lower branches, let them grow freely.
If it is a little princess, it is basally dominant - which means the lower branches tend to grow bigger and faster, which may prevent the tree from developing a good apex - but that is something you won't have to worry about in a long time.

Don't worry about it. You did not remove that much.
