Greetings;
So, I just got that new Desert Rose yesterday via UPS from an online Nursery.
It has been so hot recently with a heat index of 105-110. There are warnings out for heat strokes and exhaustion due to the 3 digits in temp. How can I transition this new Desert Rose to outdoors. I have a table on my patio for my plants which only have a few Desert Roses that are already used to all the heat. I have no shaded area right now and cannot afford one of those outdoor portable greenhouses things until next week. so, for right now there is not a shaded area. I have the table back against the building and there is a little overhead thing on the building, but it does not seem to be too much of a shaded area.
? So, How can I transition my new Desert Rose out there?
I would appreciate any help on this.
Thank you,
Carol

What is the conditions where deser roses grow naturally? What is the temperarture there? Humidity? Yearly and daily fluctuations? Do they grow in sun or shade?
The origin of a plant species is always the best care guide and should be one of the first things investigated when adding a new species to ones collection.
