As it is the only one that survives indoors here, I do have a Jade tree. They rarely make good bonsai, but I thought I'd give it a try. I routinely drop clippings into a pot. I have two full pots already... and lots of small pots with single tiny plants in 'm. One of the pots had very little soil in it, but the cuttings didn't care at all... they thrived.
So, I decided to repot them. They fitted easily in this shallow pot - I even had to add some soil.
It is amazing how little these plants need.
So, I ended up with this forest. Not planned, it just occured

Not at all. It came just like this out of the pot the cuttings were growing in. I can take it out of the pot and it will keep standing right up like this. The roots keep it together.

Yep, just regular potting soil. I had to add about 1/3, originally it was in even less soil. That's what I find interesting about this plant.

It's in the window sill, the window is facing west. The part of the room, that is facing the garden, has a glass roof (about 1 meter I guess).
No idea how much sunlight that is...

Correct, it is Crassula - Ovata I think, not sure.
I consider it a curiosity, not a good bonsai.

I was looking for an amount of time that it gets sunlight. It seems to be really flourishing. Even most people say Jade plants don't make for good 名媛直播, but would you consider your forest to be 名媛直播?Auk wrote:
