Not much yet, just a weed I pulled from my mom's garden last summer. Didn't have the heart to toss it. The top part died during the winter. Luckily the bottom branch held on. She probably won't be pruned this year.

Samantha,
It's cute. What size bonsai are you thinking when this little girl gets older? It's nice to have photos from the beginning.

I was thinking, Komono, I guess that's the name. It will be about that size, if we could ever get roots up closer to the top of the soil.

Getting the roots closer to the top of the soil.. Just remove topsoil
I would not wait to loong with putting a few bends in there. The main stem will be starting to become woody already..

Thanks
it's becoming woody, the roots are a little low yet, I'll just wait for spring, leave some off when I re-pot it.

Good progress, well we do appreciate the fast respond! So where would you go from here? What style will you approach? Wiring now could do a great job, since the softness of the trunk gives you all you need for any direction
