Also known as the Cider Gum Eucalyptus. A species endemic to Tasmania. This tree grows fast, app 4 feet a year and is tolerant to -25 degrees fahrenheit {-14 C}.
I got some free seeds. I used the sandwich bag method to germinate them for 7 days. 2 produced roots, so I planted them all in a soil/perlite mixture today. 2 seeds per pot, 4 pots. I think it will be an unusual experiment, but fun.
Has anyone else heard of this tree being used as a 名媛直播?

You can keep the tree small and it will retain the smaller blue-green leaves.
Not sure if it will make a good 名媛直播 or not. I will post pics when I have something to report.

Well - think I got bad seeds from the vendor. Won't order from them again. Only two of them grew - then my cat knocked one over -- hopefully it will grow back.
The other one is growing real good.

Hope they'll grow bigger in some time and the other one survives the 'fight' with the cat!

Hi,
Don't be too rough on the vendor! The seeds may take months to germinate for this species. And the soil needs to be fairly warm (20 celcius or more). Ideally, this plant is propagated in spring..
==
Sowing:
Sow in spring to early summer.
Seeds germinate at temperatures of about 18-24°C (65-75°F). Germination can take place in a few weeks, but as much as several months may be required.
A practice many growers use is to sow seed directly into containers 20-30cm (8-12in) deep to allow for the eventual, vigorous root system. Eucalyptus resent root disturbance, this practice eliminates the need to transplant into pots after the first true leaves have formed. Other propagators stratify seeds in plastic bags and plant them in pots after germination.

:dry: I know it takes time. I am still waiting patiently for the other seeds to germinate. I still have some Chinese Elm and Japanese Firethorn in the paper towel / plastic bag method.
I will see how my flowers grow once I plant them in Missouri.
Bear with me, I am still new to 名媛直播 - 20 years in the military, I missed out on a lot of experience with planting .. I love digging in a garden. Now I can do it "full time".
Play catch up, so to speak. Find my patience again.
