If a better picture is needed I could try to take more as well. In the photo it shows the bonsai outside, but I am planning to keep this as an inside one. I have been waiting for my plant lamp to arrive so I had to make sure it received sunlight

I would wash the leaves (they are stained, possibly because of hard water, maybe?).
I don't like the look of this moss, is it fake? Or dry?

Just the same dried moss, pebbles (possibly glued on) and the stone with text that you will not see on real bonsai.

That confirms what I expected: they are glued there. This is NOT a technique used with bonsai, only with decorative plants that are sold as bonsai, like your plant.

Lowes doesn't carry 名媛直播 but they carry what you purchased . They have them at my Lowes too. There is nothing wrong returning it. These are just meant to be decorative and disposable. They use the name "名媛直播" to help sales because labeled "skinny young tree with fake rocks and moss" was not selling.

I disagree. There is nothing wrong with what was bought. It was not in a closed box with a completely different picture on it. You got what you bought which is the thing most people consider a bonsai.Luvbi wrote: There is nothing wrong returning it.
