Japanese White Pine 名媛直播 almost defoliated !! was created by bonsaifan4ever

Hello !!! 2 japanese white pines bonsai are almost defoliated and have no buds !! When i pruned them last year i was carefully to select the buds and to not cut them ! But after the winter passed i observed the colour changing of acicular foliage from green into brown which mean the foliage is rusted - it seems to be normal ??? and now when i touched the foliage from some branches it has dropped down !!!! Moreover i was carefully in the period of winter to protect the pots and not only !! It's there a real chance to save them because i love them and i'm sentimentally attached by these 2 bonsai and i want to make everything possible to bring them to the life !!! I attached some pics of my bonsai to see them and please help me to find a solution !!! Thank you very much !!

The tree is dead. If as it appears you had it inside then that is why. If it was outside, then there is another problem. As you do not say what country you are in is difficult to say any more.

Excuse me i'm from Romania, the place where they are now it's a balcony opened space !!! When i bought them last year in spring i put them for a few days inside of my house and after that they had to stay only outside !! Maybe i was wrong from the begining and that's why they are in this bad situation !! I think if i try to fertilise them i hope tyhemve them. !!!

I am sorry but they are dead. Fertiliser will not help. I don't know why they have died, but that is what has happened. Put it down to experience and try again. Read how to water and maintain them before getting more.

I have a spruce that lost 100% of its foliage for about 3 months but I kept it at a side and watered it when I was watering the others and now it has come back to life somehow lol so if they where my trees I wouldn't lose all hope and give a chance , but do not fertilize at all just water when it's dry and that's it .

It's defo a spruce , it lost its leaves during the winter when I was away for a few days and the wind blew it over on it's side , that must have stressed it to become deciduous lol ;) now it has buds growing all over even a couple on the trunk :)
