I have recently gotten my first bonsai tree and have started to notice that some of the buds of what I assume will be flowers, are starting to turn black at their bases (have included pictures of two) and dropping off, I would like to know how this can be stopped if it is a solveable problem. In addition if anyone can help me with Identification of what type of bonsai this is that would be greatly appreciated. In regards to watering I have been watering it untill the water drips from the hole in the bottom, and have been doing this each time the soil starts to feel only slightly damp. In regards to its position it is about 2m from a west facing window in a bedroom. Finally, I have noticed some small black dots appearing just before some of the buds, I have highlighted an example of this in one of the photos.

you have a fukien tea tree. (Carmona macrophylla). Your plant seems to be healthy. Buds fall of mostly due to stress. Could be the new place, too much water, not enough water, too close to heating device, etc... Make sure to read about the species and put it outside as the weather lets you to do so
